To benefit Marion Institute's newest program: Frogfoot Farm - Neighbors feeding Neighbors, a partnership with the A.D. Makepeace Company.

This is a biggie! Our July Newsletter announces the launch of our newest program - The Neighborhood Farm at Frogfoot, a collab with A.D. Makepeace Co. It will serve as a farm-to-food relief program benefitting Southeastern MA food pantries with fresh, nutritious, locally grown foods. We also launch our #EatLocalSouthcoastChallenge ! This month's newsletter is dedicated to the incredible 18 year legacy of Angela Silva, MI's Director of Finance and Operations. We say Good Luck! but not Goodbye. Angela's work ethic, efficiency, conscientious approach, and consistently positive outlook is something we admire and are grateful to have experienced daily. It is with heavy, but very proud and happy hearts that we wish Angela well as she sets out on her new path as a women-led business owner.

February is Black History Month and our newsletter highlights the fantastic soul food lessons that Shay Brooks, one of our FoodCorps service members, has been providing to her students. There's also info about a new program for the MI – "Path of Freedom", an 11-week mindfulness-based emotional intelligence (MBEI) program for at-risk and incarcerated youth and adult prisoners.
