Massachusetts legislators have filed over 6,000 bills for the 2025-2026 session, many of which directly impact our food system.
The Southcoast Food Policy Council has identified seven key priority bills that will:
- Improve community health
- Increase local food in schools
- Support farmers & food entrepreneurs
- Eliminate food insecurity
- Strengthen our regional food system
Join us in advocating for policies that create a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food future for all!

What’s BUZZn’?
This month, a second-grade class at Wareham Elementary joined the Grow Education program, inspired by Macee Doyle’s students’ enthusiasm for our Microgreens garden. Their first lesson explored beekeeping, led by our FoodCorps member, Paul.
Students watched a film on beekeepers, engaged in a hands-on hive demonstration, and discovered bees’ role in pollination. They wrapped up with a honey taste test, making real-world connections to agriculture—an experience that left them buzzing with excitement!
