“Meet the Farm Team” Brown Bag Lunch at Frogfoot Farm:

Join Frogfoot Farmer, Scott Codey, and Farm Program Manager, Hannah Traggis as they fill you in on what’s happening on the farm!

When: Wednesday, September 18th @ 12pm

Where: Box Mill Hall – 150 Tihonet Road, Wareham, MA

What: A simple brown bag lunch and conversation with Hannah & Scott, followed by a carpool up to Frogfoot Farm – Neighbors Feeding Neighbors. Learn the latest about the farm plan and details on upcoming volunteer opportunities!

Grow Education’s Contribution to HUNGER ACTION:

Over 500 lbs of produce was harvested from the local Grow Education school gardens and distributed to New Bedford students through NB summer learning sites.

Six weeks of summer programming with the CARE program at Wareham Elementary.
Hosted a professional Development day for 160 New Bedford food service employees at Round the Bend Farm to explore regional food systems, restorative agriculture, local food procurement, and food waste management!

John Duke

Board Member

For the past 24 years, John has been living on the unseated land of the Pokanoket Wampanoag in the town currently called Mattapoisett. John has a background in growing produce and has training with Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web school which involves gaining an understanding of how the soil food web works, and assessing that functionality through microscopy. For the last three years, he has been applying that knowledge to the land that he lives on.

Fern Wiley

Fern has been with Marion Institute for just two short weeks and within those weeks she has demonstrated great leadership skills, a knack for making people smile, and LOTS of siestas!

Fern is a frequent flyer at the Marion Institute and a very good girl. Fern currently resides with the Wiley family, however if she goes missing, we know a couple of coworkers who may have an idea on her whereabouts…
