Southcoast Food Policy Council Meetings and Updates

Our focus during quarterly meetings is to provide updates and progress made by the SFPC’s CAB and working groups, showcase opportunities to get involved, maintain space for the community to respond with questions and comments, and to share ways you can take action as a food stakeholder and community partner.

August 18, 2026 Quarterly Meeting
Our August Quarterly Meeting featured updates from the Southcoast Food Policy Council’s three working groups—Education & Communication, Food Access, and Capacity Building—highlighting current initiatives, legislative priorities, and opportunities for community engagement. Members also received updates on the 2026 Food Summit, the upcoming 2026 Food System Assessment, the FarmCoast Documentary, and discussions surrounding a potential candidate forum ahead of the November general election. Together, these efforts continue to strengthen collaboration, advance equitable food policies, and build a more resilient food system across Southeastern Massachusetts.

February 17, 2026 Quarterly Meeting
The agenda includes the role of Food Policy Councils, the SFPC Mission, Priorities, Structure, and History, and the 2025 successes and achievements of our initiatives and legislative advocacy work from the four Working groups: Education and Communication, Food Access, Policy and Capacity Building, as well as an overview of new initiatives and work we are undertaking in 2026.
