Join our Monthly Emergency Food Resource Meetings

These Conversations will Address Emergency Food Resource Gaps in Southeastern Massachusetts

These Meetings will be held MONTHLY and virtually on the 1st Wednesday of every month from 2-3pm, we will be using the same zoom link each week.

The Southcoast Food Policy Council is convening a critical discussion on how to prepare for disruptions in food relief programs — and how we can build a more resilient regional food system together.

Our goal: coordinate more effectively, surface shared challenges, and craft real, actionable solutions as a collaborative.

Whether you’re involved in food recovery, institutional food service, or simply care about food justice — your voice is essential. Let’s turn concern into collective action.

Join us for the next meeting on Wednesday March, 4th from 2–3PM

Topic will be: Emergency Family Preparedness Workshop (For Service Providers)

Service providers play a critical role in helping families navigate times of uncertainty. This workshop is designed to equip frontline staff, educators, healthcare providers, and community partners with practical tools to support immigrant families in preparing for potential immigration enforcement emergencies.

Participants will learn how to help families develop emergency safety plans, understand basic legal rights, and connect with trusted local resources. The goal of this training is to reduce fear, confusion, and the risk of family separation by ensuring service providers feel confident sharing accurate, culturally responsive information and support during times of crisis.

This workshop will be led by Helena DaSilva Hughes, President of the Immigrants’ Assistance Center, a respected leader and advocate with deep experience supporting immigrant communities across the region.
