Wareham, MA – The Marion Institute is excited to announce the delivery of nearly 100 pounds of fresh vegetables from its Frogfoot Farm to Damien's Place Food Pantry in Wareham, MA, on Wednesday, October 16. The first harvest, which included radishes and turnips, represents a major milestone for Frogfoot Farm and highlights its commitment to addressing local food insecurity. With 1 in 3 people struggling to access basic food groups like fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, and seafood, this initiative is a critical part of the region's food relief efforts.

Thursday, October 10th, was an unforgettable evening as we hosted our second annual Boogie at the Bog in support of Frogfoot Farm’s Neighbors Feeding Neighbors program. The night unfolded in a truly magical fashion, with perfect weather setting the stage and even the Northern Lights making a rare appearance.

The Marion Institute's Southcoast Food Policy Council's hosted a VIRTUAL Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Learn how your candidates in District 10 (Fairhaven, Mattapoisett, Marion, Rochester, South West New Bedford) of Bristol County plans on addressing the food system concerns and aspirations of their constituents.

September 18th, 2024 the Southcoast Food Policy Council hosted a virtual Food Summit: Shifting Perspectives from Food Security to Food Sovereignty from 6-8pm. The Keynote speaker was Alison Cohen from National Right to Food Community of Practice.
