NEW BEDFORD — Gloria Steinem is synonymous with helping launch the Women’s Movement back in the 60s, and at age 84 today, she’s showing no signs of backing down from the cause she took up over 40 years ago.
She’s speaking tomorrow night at the New Bedford Lyceum where she will be addressing a sold out audience.
We asked members of the community* what they thought about Ms. Steinem’s fight for women’s right back then, and what she means to the movement now.
