New Bedford High School Students are working with the Southcoast Energy Challenge through the “ Learn and Earn ” program to make New Bedford a more sustainable city. For 6 weeks this summer, 14 New Bedford High School students are interning with the Marion Institute’s Southcoast Energy Challenge to enhance their knowledge on renewable energy and potential career opportunities, enlighten their community about this burgeoning industry, and encourage New Bedford residents to take advantage of clean energy incentives and cost savings by signing up for free Energy Assessments and switching to solar energy. The “Learn and Earn” program is made possible by a grant from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center .
