June (so far) has been a month of growth, gratitude, and fresh beginnings at the Marion Institute!

We kicked things off with an incredible Grow Education Fundraiser, where we transformed Sid Wainer & Son into a vibrant celebration of school gardens and community impact. Our new Fields to Families gleaning program has launched with its very first harvest at the Fairhaven Acushnet Land Preservation Trust—and speaking of harvests, Frogfoot Farm delivered its first bounty straight to local food pantries!

We’re energized by the momentum and excited for what’s ahead. Check out all the highlights below—and don’t miss our upcoming events where you can dig in, connect, and grow with us.

Welcome Our Newest Program, Fields to Families!

We’re thrilled to launch the Marion Institute’s Fields to Families Gleaning Program — and even more grateful to those joining us for our very first glean!

On Tuesday, June 10th we had a group of 7 volunteers at the Fairhaven Acushnet Land Preservation Trust to pick their beautiful, ripe strawberries and shared the harvest (of 73 pounds) with our area food pantries.

Grow Education Fundraiser Recap

As the school year came to a close, we gathered to celebrate the Marion Institute’s Grow Education Farm-to-School program with a vibrant fundraiser hosted at Sid Wainer & Son.

Guests enjoyed an inspiring culinary experience featuring “school food reimagined” by Chef Chris Cronin and engaged with the program’s impact through an immersive story walk that brought the work of Grow Education to life.
