Saturday, May 23, 2026 BioBlitz from 9:30am – 1pm
The Marion Institute is excited to invite you to take part in our 2026 BioBlitz series at Frogfoot Farm—a fun, hands-on opportunity to explore nature, learn alongside community members, and contribute to real ecological research.
What is a BioBlitz?
A BioBlitz is a community science event where participants come together to document as much biodiversity as possible—plants, animals, insects, fungi, and more—within a defined area and timeframe. For the day, you’ll become a Citizen Scientist, helping to observe and record the life that calls Frogfoot Farm home.
Why We Do It
Our work at Frogfoot Farm through the Neighbors Feeding Neighbors program takes an ecological approach to farming—one that supports food production while welcoming nature and creating habitat for wildlife. Tracking biodiversity helps us understand how the landscape is evolving and how our farming practices are strengthening the health of the land. BioBlitzes allow us to document that progress, and we can’t do it without community participation.
