Earth Day Volunteer Day at Frogfoot Farm
Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 10:00am–2:00pm
📍 Frogfoot Farm, Wareham, MA
Celebrate Earth Day by getting your hands in the soil and giving back alongside community members at Frogfoot Farm. Join the Marion Institute for a meaningful volunteer day focused on caring for our native plant hedgerows—an essential part of building a healthy, resilient farm ecosystem. All ages are welcome!
This year’s Earth Day is especially meaningful. It falls during National Volunteer Week and during the United Nations International Year of Volunteers, a global recognition of the people who strengthen communities through service. Even more fitting, 2026 also marks the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations International Year of the Woman Farmer, honoring the leadership, knowledge, and impact of women in agriculture around the world.
What We’ll Be Doing
Volunteers will work alongside staff to maintain and enhance Frogfoot Farm’s native plant hedgerows, helping to:
-
Support pollinators and beneficial insects
-
Improve habitat and biodiversity
-
Strengthen the long-term health of the farm landscape
No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to help and get a little dirty.
What to Bring
-
Weather-appropriate clothing you don’t mind working in
-
Closed-toe shoes
-
Water bottle and any snacks you may want
-
A good attitude and appreciation for the outdoors
Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or joining us for the first time, this Earth Day is a chance to be part of something bigger—local action with global significance. We hope you’ll join us in honoring the land, the people who care for it, and the power of volunteering to create lasting change.
