December 2025 Newsletter
As we close out the year, we’re reflecting on the countless moments of connection, growth, and community that you helped make possible. This season, we invite you to celebrate the people who brighten your life by giving a gift that nourishes others in their honor. Whether it’s supporting school gardens, providing fresh local produce to families, or strengthening our regional food system, your gift plants the seeds for a healthier, more food-secure future — and becomes a meaningful tribute to someone you cherish.

Give a Gift of Meaning this Holiday Season
For the one who helps your world grow and values giving back… Shop our gifts this holiday season and beyond!
Every tribute gift includes a wildflower seed paper card for your recipient — a living symbol of the nourishment their gift helps grow.

Our beautiful greenhouse is moving full steam ahead! Construction is nearing completion — the frame is up, the polycarbonate siding and roof are installed, and both the ridge and side vents are in place. Last week, the team added the energy curtain, with just a bit of finishing work on the flashing to follow. Once power is connected — the final step before we can officially open the doors — this space will allow us to grow fresh produce year-round, powered sustainably by solar energy.
Here’s a sneak peek at how it’s coming together. We can’t wait to fill it with everything it needs to truly flourish. Thank you to EVERYONE who helped make this vision a reality!

Farm-to-school program promoting health, sustainability, equity, and ecological literacy

What’s Growin’ On!
This month Grow Education students explored culture, history, and hands-on learning across our school gardens and classrooms. November brought rich lessons tied to Native American Heritage Month, including the Wampanoag Three Sisters growing tradition, district-wide tastings of Three Sisters stew in New Bedford, and field trips to Plimoth Patuxet for over 1,200 students. While gardens settled in for winter, hydroponic systems restarted to keep fresh greens growing indoors, and students sampled local foods like Massachusetts cranberries and school-grown garlic.
