With the winter solstice behind us and daylight increasing once again, now is the time for seeds! Coming out of 2020, there were many values and teachings on the importance of diversity and resilience - from our personal and global health, to our community values of race. Meet Crystal Lister, the founder of Healthy Bites Meal Prep in New Bedford. She helps New Bedford residents and beyond with improving their diets and staying committed to their health.

Meet Cathy Henriques, Cafeteria Manager at Jacobs Elementary School! She's the Grow Education "Face of Food" in New Bedford for the month of November. We're grateful for Cathy and all her work with the New Bedford Food & Nutrition Services team.

Each month we’re highlighting people working toward making school meals for NBPS students healthy, delicious and culturally relevant. We’re asking them questions about food, education and self-care so that we can learn from each others’ experiences and bring this knowledge back to the classroom and garden.
