Happy Summer 2022! This month's newsletter brings you fresh updates to MI's programs PLUS a look at our brand new FY'21 Annual Report. If you did not receive a copy in the mail recently we are happy to send one out to you - just let us know!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and in this month's newsletter we bring you some ideas on how you can cultivate improved mental health for yourself or through your relationships with others. We also highlight our presence at this year's Bristol County Regional Alliance Annual Conference where the topics were mental health and opioid addiction.

This month's newsletter for April is chock full of fun and informational updates on our programs and a peak at our presence at the Buttonwood Park Zoo's Party for the Planet for Earth Day on the 22nd!

It is with great pleasure that we announce the successful launch of Community Youth Empowerment (CYE) from our Greenhouse Initiatives (fiscal sponsorship) program. We also discuss Black History Month lessons in the New Bedford Schools as well as heart health habits and updates to SFPC's Community Advisory Board.

We are looking forward to all of the great achievements we are planning for the new year in 2022 with the invaluable help of our dedicated and loyal partners and supporters. We can't do it without you! We hope you enjoy these latest program updates from the Marion Institute.

At the Marion Institute, we take a systems-theory approach to achievement using grassroots action to make our local communities better, healthier, and more equitable places to live. In this December's newsletter, we outline some of the many accomplishments that each of our dedicated programs have been able to achieve during another challenging year.

In this November's newsletter, we debut our #GivingTuesday campaign with benefit going toward the Mary Shands Scholarship Fund. The fund is used to help those seeking financial help in pursuing biological medicine therapies. It's Native American Heritage Month and Grow Education explores Wampanoag history thru lessons and talks and the Southcoast Food Policy Council weighs in on Land Acknowledgements in the Food System.
