Grow Education (Grow), a program of the Marion Institute, is a collaborative effort with the New Bedford, Massachusetts public school district. Grow offers teachers the opportunity to engage and collaborate on a deeper level with community organizations as well as each other. Our goal is to connect teachers to community support systems and resources, empowering them to increase nutrition and sustainability education initiatives in their classrooms. Through the creation of school-based gardens, we hope to increase accessibility to locally grown food for teachers, their students and the New Bedford community.
