Long Description

Do you realize that most of what you throw away is not trash, but treasure? Composting food and paper scraps helps to keep these materials out of the landfill while reducing harmful greenhouse gases. As an added bonus you’ll be creating valuable dirt and compost which is great for gardening!

Composting allows you to complete nature’s circle of life. For example, an apple starts with a tree being grown from the ground, then growing the fruit, the apple falls, then gets eaten until it finally decomposes. Using the decomposition of the apple, allows us to use those remains to grow more fruit and vegetables and therefore, complete nature’s circle. It is surprising how many things you can compost, that you would never have even dreamed about recycling before. We know fruit and vegetables can be composted, but is dog poop compostable?

The answer is yes! This shows that so many things can be used for good, even if you never thought of it before. It has been made extremely easy to compost dog waste, by using biodegradable dog bags like ‘Doggy Do Good’ and the benefits are similar to that of any other animal manure. It is rich in minerals and vitamins that can be used to enrich the soil and also, avoids putting more rubbish into landfill, whilst using it for good.

Talk to your neighbors about creating a communal compost bin! Simply place your compostable food and trash in the compost bin instead of the garbage. You can compost coffee grounds, tea bags, egg shells, rinds, veggies, and much more!

Composting can easily save 80lbs of CO2 a year!
