Giving Tuesday

This year the Marion Institute team flipped the script on Giving Tuesday. Instead of asking you for support, we rolled up our sleeves to Give Back to the communities we serve! We spent a gorgeous fall day at Skinny Dip Farm in Westport, MA, harvesting some serious leafy greens during our very first team gleaning event.

A HUGE thank you to farm owners Ben and Hannah Wolbach, who welcomed us to their farm and cheered us on as we gleaned 136.2 pounds of bok choy, baby kale, tatsoi, arugula, dinosaur kale, and asian greens!

But the real magic happened next. These nutrient-packed greens went straight to United Way’s Hunger Commission and were distributed to the following incredible organizations making a difference in our community:

  • CEDC
  • Acushnet Council on Aging
  • Fairhaven Council on Aging
  • Sister Rose House
  • The YMCA’s Full Plate Project
  • Harmony House
  • Mercy Meals
  • Salvation Army

Thank you for helping us grow a healthier, more connected community—one leafy green at a time! Together, we’re planting seeds of health, sustainability, and connection.
