Oh what a night we had…

Our Boogie at the Bog fundraiser is in support of our Frogfoot Farm – Neighbors Feeding Neighbors program. A farm-to-food relief partnership of the Marion Institute and A.D. Makepeace Company.

Thank You From Executive Director, Liz Wiley

About Frogfoot Farm

A farm-to-food relief partnership to grow, farm, and recover food for neighbors in need across Southeastern, MA.

Thanks to a partnership with A.D. Makepeace Company (ADM), the Marion Institute is developing and managing a farm-to-food relief program on ADM property located at the Wareham/Plymouth line. The shared purpose of Frogfoot Farm is to increase the availability of nutritious, local food for area food relief programs by growing food at Frogfoot and training volunteers to become certified gleaners for our sister program, Fields to Families, that harvests (aka gleans) surplus crops from farms across our region. ADM has committed the land, soil improvements, and irrigation to support this work. The Marion Institute must fundraise to support all other costs associated to fully launch and run the farm. We cannot do this important work alone and invite you to partner with us and make Frogfoot your community farm too. Thank you for your financial support.

Every week, the Marion Institute’s farm-to-food relief programs harvest fresh, nutrient-rich produce right here in our community. But without refrigeration, our ability to deliver and reach more families is limited.

The “Harvest Hopper,” as we’ve lovingly coined it (for now anyway), will safely transport produce from fields across our region with ZERO EMISSIONS to food pantries throughout Southeastern MA. With your support, more families will have access to healthy, local food they can count on.

We Reached Our Goal!

The Goal: $75,000

Together, we raised an incredible $75,000! This allows us to purchase the “Harvest Hopper” — a zero-emission refrigerated van that will help us deliver fresh, local produce to food pantries across Southeastern MA.

Thank you to everyone who has brought the Harvest Hopper to life!
