My first answer to the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” was, “A chef!” I’ve always had a passion for food and this helped me cultivate a healthy lifestyle over the past 10 years. In my work with children and families, food has always been part of the conversation and witnessing food inequities has drawn me closer to food education. Food is life and everyone deserves a happy and healthy life.

I hope to accomplish strong relationships with the children and adults I will be serving.

I hope to gain a broader understanding of food systems and expand my network of like-minded food freedom fighters.

I grew up in Boston, MA.

I got really interested in food education because I feel that in today’s world, we tend to go for fast food because its quick. I want to change the way we look at what we eat, in fact we are exactly what we eat and I want to make it cool to eat fresh.

What I hope to accomplish is finding out what people actually think about eating better and if they would, which would it be?

What I hope to gain from this term is a network of colleagues that can assist on my journey of actually owning my own farm. One other thing that I know I would want to venture off into is owning a juice bar. I think that in urban areas we lack an abundance of ways to present produce to the world.

My favorite vegetable, hands down, is summer squash; although I do have other favorites, this one in particular is my absolute favorite.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”growed”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
