About the Connector Series
SHARING IDEAS TO SPARK CHANGE.
Since its beginning in 1993, the Marion Institute has worked to foster understanding and dialogue around big ideas. In small and large venues, we have introduced people with cutting edge ideas to audiences with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for positive change. These events have focused on health, social justice, sustainability, responsible business, and individual potential, often highlighting issues 2 or 3 years before they have emerged in the national press.
Now, the newly launched Connector Series is continuing to inspire audiences and nurture thoughtful dialogue all year long with a fresh range of events, including speeches, panel discussions, and intensive workshops. Keep in touch with our latest news and step into a world of ideas that will help transform the way you live.
A HISTORY OF CONNECTING FOR CHANGE
For 10 years the Marion Institute’s community dialogue efforts were centered around the multi-day “Connecting for Change” conference, a festival of ideas and art that energized thousands of participants and inspired dozens of social change projects. In those 11 years hundreds of renowned speakers from around the world shared their passions in keynote speeches and intimate workshops, including luminaries such as Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai, environmentalist Bill McKibben, social innovator Van Jones, entrepreneur Paul Hawken, physician Dr. Thomas Rau, and author Naomi Wolf. By DVD and online media, those presentations have been spread throughout the world and many of them are available in our Library and on our YouTube Channel, MarionInstituteTV.
