Bonnaroo "Connect for Change" Contest

This Spring, the Marion Institute headed down to the 9th Annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN to join dozens of other non-profits to table in the Planet Roo section of the festival.  As always, the Marion Institute's mission was to create deep and positive change and to do this we held a contest to win $1,000 and a trip to the Connecting for Change Conference in October.

The "Connect for Change" Contest ran throughout the weekend, asking attendees to tell us how they would use $1,000 to "Connect for Change" in their communities in 1 minute or less on camera.   We received over 85 entries and we narrowed it down to 20 finalists, then over the past two monthes over 1,500 unique votes were cast.

We would like to CONGRATULATE THE WINNER OF THE CONTEST, Grace Mulcahy from Manhattan, Illinois.  Grace received 429 votes from all over the country.

We would also like to thank all the other Bonnaroo Contest participants.  We believe that every one of the 20 ideas below are amazing and that every participant can make them happen.

We would like to invite everyone who participated in the contest, people who entered the contest and those who voted for them, to the 6th Annual Connecting for Change Conference, October 22-24.  The Connecting for Change Conference is a three-day, SOLUTIONS BASED gathering that brings together a diverse audience to create deep and positive change in their communities.  Join the movement.  www.connectingforchange.org
