About Our Success Stories
The Marion Institute is dedicated to identifying, promoting and incubating programs and projects that seek to enhance life for the Earth and its inhabitants.
Some of these initiatives – which we have entitled Serendipity Projects – may be large or small, global or local in scope. Click here to view our current Serendipity Projects.
We are proud that many of our Serendipity Projects have transformed into their very own non-profit and our relationship has matured into that of a success story. We are honored to have worked with so many amazing individuals on the ground and are delighted to share a few of our success stories with you.
Take a read about two of our most well known Serendipity Projects work with the Green Belt Movement, specifically 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Wangari Maathai, and the Natural Capital Institute and our work with world renowned Paul Hawken.
We often look to our members as one source for identifying and supporting new initiatives. The notion of the “Serendipity Project” was first established as a means of fundraising for Board Member-sponsored projects, through the aid of the Marion Institute’s 501c3 status. Today, we have the ability to offer this same form of sponsorship to projects that we feel dovetail with the Marion Institute’s mission statement of “identifying and promoting programs that seek to enhance life for the Earth and its inhabitants.” This unique relationship allows us to not only accept tax-deductible gifts on behalf of a particular project, but more importantly, can help strengthen a project’s mission.
